  1. I want to learn wordpress. Apparently using “MAMP” is a good start. I have a win 10 Enterprise edition and installed MAMP 5.0.0. (next, next next … unchecked pro) I’ve copied wordpress folder in htdocs ==> Apache green, Mysql green yeey! Clicking on “open Webstart page” ==> I have only 3 tabs: Start , Tools , MAMP Website. Can anybody tell me how I can see the “My website” button?

  2. Many thanks for your tutorials seen a few & lots will follow & a lot to learn. May I ask a Q … what is the best (easiest) way to practice building with wordpress & elementor besides having to install XAMPP. Just wondering can I not practice building without publishing and in the mean time have the sign on for the outside “coming soon”?? Or do I need to install XAMPP & wordpress on my pc? Thanks in advance.

    1. XAMPP or MAMP is the fastest way to setup a local server on your computer. Using these programs does not make it available on the internet automatically. Some of them do have the ability to push your local install to a server, but that is a paid feature.

      Setting up apache and mysql yourself is doable, but not easy and very time consuming to get it right when you’ve never done one before.

      An alternative is to install Docker and run a WordPress instance (https://hub.docker.com/_/wordpress). This give the exact same environment as running on a server, but not always easy for a new comer to use.

    2. @Envato Tuts+ Many thanks for your advice !! Slowly watching many tutorials & read a lot I will get there. Seen quite a few tutorials regarding installing mamp & xamp, one thing I understand it so thats good hehe. At this moment I do not want to invest to much … meaning I have/work on an old macOS Capitan 20 inch 2008 2gb ram an an ATI radeon HD 2600 Pro 256mb processor 2,66 GHz core duo core. You here me coming … Can I use this mac to start off and work with wordpress & elementor ??? Thanks in advance !!

  3. Do you know how many pages WordPress can handle? I own an art blog with over 2000 separate pages. But the builder I’m using is closing down. I’m trying to find a new place to rebuild now D;

  4. So helpful. I was despairing of being able to follow very many of the wordpress tutorials on this site, but this is exactly what I had been looking for, well presented and easy to understand. Love the salt lamp too! :)

    1. @Envato Tuts+ please don’t take it down, it’s my bible! :) And will be for a while :)
