If you’re wondering why my eyes look red, sore and swollen, I’ve been dealing with an allergic reaction to something which has inflamed my eyelids for around a month!!!😵💫 the show must go on though…lol
Are you using tret by any chance?
Hey Abi! Hope you will feel better soon, been watching your channel for a few months now and it is so inspiring and dun to watch and rewatch! Would love if you did a video, or maybe a video segment, on how licensing work with Envato Elements – especially in terms of with clients. And how they work in terms of recommending them a font for body copy, etc. Would they have to get a separate monthly membership and license themselves, or would that be covered under my sub license? Sorry for the long comment, just one of the roadblocks that I have run into. Again, really appreciate your work, it is super informative and fun!
@madelyn kientz thank you ☺️ really grateful for your kind comment! So they need a license as well! What I normally do is send them links to purchase the individual fonts from websites like creative market, saves them needing a subscription!
@Abi Connick OH MY GOSH! Thank you so much for the reply! Sorry, didn’t want my first comment on one of your videos to be about asking for your help, but I really appreciate it! Will definitely keep that in mind. Excited for the next video😊
Didn’t even notice. But hope it gets sorted soon. Allergies can be a pain. 🦋
how you pints on font and changes??!!?? 2:20 😴⁉️
I´´ve been officially a designer for almost 3 years and finding a colourpallette that works is so hard. How do you get the correct ones that work together?
Yes I still struggle with this sometimes! There are some good websites like: https://coolors.co/ that can help but doing competitor research and brand strategy normally helps with deciding a colour palette
First impressions is, you are such a pro. I love what you created and the thought process behind it. How long did this whole process take you? As a beginner, I can’t help but feel like I’m so behind and slow
Well thank you I appreciate it! But it’s take years for me to get to this level :) And still I need to improve! around 4 weeks! DOn;t feel behind, you;ll get better and quicker with time, enjoy the journey!
Sitting at my computer as I keep repeatedly yelling “OKAY ABI!!!” lovveeee watching your design process
@Abi Connick Girrll yesssss keep dropping the DOPE content!
@Living Mattie’s Way More to come!
What paper did you use for the menu?
This looked amazing!!! The menu was perfection
Thank you Kim, really appreciate it :)
Good luck abi connick
You work please amazing 😍😍😍😍😍
Thank you so much 😀
Love this!!! How does the client handle any changes to the menu? Do they have the native files or do they come back to you for changes?
This is something I struggle with as I work with restaurants who often change small details on their menu but still want it to look nice.
Thank you 😊 So from what they said to me, they plan on changing seasonally, so we’ve agreed a deal that when it comes to changing the menu, I will adjust the design to fit. I never really like to give clients native files as you never know what they are going to do and it can make your work look bad! – one thing you could try is bring on a junior designer and they can do the little bits and bobs of graphic design, while you focus more on the branding and big projects.
I look up to you sooo much, you’re amazing and I hope to be as good as you are ♡ keep up the amazing videos
What a great design!! What is the program you used for the feedback form and project presentation? It looks so so convenient!
I do a lot chat box design work for streamers, and I can completely relate with having design tantrums when trying to make a RECTANGLE look cool and unique 😭😭😭
haha it’s all just part of the process 😅
Please what’s the difference between creating a logo, brand identity and brand style guideline.
a logo is just a logo, where as when you create a brand identity you create a whole brand e.g logo, colour palette, complimentary fonts, submark logo, brand guidelines etc.
@Abi Connick is there a way I can send you a copy of my branding I did for a non existent VR Gear company. I would love you to give me feedback on it please
@Abi Connick thank you for your response too it detailed and clarifies my doubts
