On December 24, 2017, he allegedly tried to strangle his then-girlfriend after he saw that another man had texted her. He was charged with felony battery constituting domestic violence.
In 2019, he held his then-girlfriend captive inside her apartment in Las Vegas, Clark County, Nevada, USA for two weeks. He was initially charged with five felonies, including assault and battery.
In August 2021, he reached a deal with Clark County prosecutors to plead guilty to felony and misdemeanor battery. He was sentenced to one to 2 years and 6 months in prison but he had already spent 2 years in jail awaiting trial.
